« 9ft Child's rowboat, Design #211

This is a scaled down rowing boat sized for children ages 5 to 10 years.  A first boat in which to learn the proper use of oars and the joys of independent movement on the water.  The construction shown in the photos is light carvel edge glued and sheathed inside and out with a 4oz per sq yrd glass cloth.  Regular strip planking 5/16" (8mm) thick could also be used.
